What is your dream for your hospital? What is your hope for breastfeeding mothers and babies you care for? What influences the way care is given? What is keeping you from making those hopes and dreams come true? Let’s bring the principles of advertising, social change, psychology and community development to making institutional change that everyone can support.
If you have the desire to see things differently, then the Lactation Leaders group is for you. Over the course of a year, the group members will set goals, discuss situations, come up with strategies, and support each other through the change process. The program will focus on collaboration, team building and motivation.

Details of the meetings will be sent upon registration
24 R-CERPs and 24 Nursing Contact Hours
Classes begin in September.

Requirements:

Commitment to meet monthly via live internet chat
Complete required and optional reading assignments
Obtain support from your supervisor
Assess your hospital at the beginning and end of the program
Develop a plan to improve 1-3 aspects of breastfeeding care in your hospital
Make changes with the support of the other group members

The group will be limited to 10 members whose hospitals share similar size and demographics.
